I was ignoring my interest in the iPhone for a while, but now that Derick has one, I can’t avoid them any longer. I want one. They’re so slick. I know there’s a lot of hype around them (and a lot of weak detractors ready to nitpick every minute flaw), but I’m really impressed. Yes, it could use some improvement. Yes, it is missing some features important to some people, but overall I think it is a definite step in the right direction. If this is the first version, they can only improve it moving forward. I don’t mind waiting for the subsequent releases before getting one for myself.

Update: Ok, I couldn’t wait. It’ll be another year until a new version, if even!
